Many years ago, Father explained to Linda and I how to establish a personal
"buffer zone" of safety (see "if
it quacks like a duck"). His instructions included the following
Knowledge:
It is a simple matter to Discern.
Is this matter / material of Source,
or is it opposite / unlike All That Is?
When it is so, you of course Know,
as a matter of hand, its origin.
Anything unlike Source
belongs not in your mind or unto you.
This simple tool of Discernment can be very effectively used together with what
we have been learning about Respect to establish the origin of what we
experience.
Does this Respect Life or does it violate and intrude upon it? Is this of
Source or opposite / unlike All That Is? What would the answer be if you were
to apply this test of Discernment to:
- friends
- family members
- society
- school system
- government
- armed forces / police
- current business model
- current monetary system
- religion
- sports
- entertainment
- science
- conventional farming / agriculture
- conventional medicine
- current legal system
- your perception of how life should be
- what you were taught is right and wrong
- your daily conduct toward Self
- your daily conduct toward others
