Having identified the false witness of lower case "r" respect, let’s
continue the exploration of what upper case "R" Respect is. I say continue
because I have touched on the concept of Respect before when I wrote about
Father’s Teaching that a strong Foundation is based on Truth, Integrity, and
Honor ("More on
Foundation").
Respect:
- to treat with propriety and consideration
- to regard as inviolable
- avoid intruding upon
First, let’s recognize that in these definitions there is no hint whatsoever of
having to submit or yield to anyone, regardless of their perceived status.
Neither is there a hint whatsoever as to the need to determine whether someone
is or is not worthy of admiration and therefore Respect.
In reality, to be Respectful is to recognize the inviolable Nature of Creation
and thus People, Earth, and Nature and to conduct ourselves in a way that is
non intruding upon Creation and each other.
Imagine how different things would be if we reawakened to this basic principle
of Creation…
