Picking up his tools, he gently made a small hole in grandma’s trunk and hammered an elderberry tap in place.
As soon as he hung the bucket under the tap, he heard a very familiar sound.
Dip, dip, dip… went the sap into his bucket. Dip, dip… dip.
"How nice, how nice," sang Bunny with a happy Heart. "How nice, how nice," hopped Bunny a circle dance.
Knowing it would take some time for the bucket to fill, Bunny the bunny laid next to grandma the maple tree and took a nap.
"Bunny… Bunny," whispered grandma after a while. "It’s time. The bucket is full."
With a big smile Bunny got up and checked the bucket. "It is ! It’s very full ! Thank you grandma. You’re so kind to me."
"You’re welcome my friend. You’re kind to me too."
