"Here it is !" exclaimed Bunny with a Joy-full Heart.
"Wake up grandma… wake up." Bunny whispered softly to a huge maple tree. "It’s time grandma ! Are you awake ?"
"Uuhaaa…," replied the maple tree as she slowly stretched her branches alongside the breeze. "Yes, my dear friend. I’m just beginning to wake up. It’s warming up and winter will soon be over."
"Well grandma…? Can I tap you so I can have maple syrup this year ?" asked Bunny. All he could think of were hot pancakes drizzling with fresh syrup and butter.
"Yes my dear friend," replied a still sleepy grandma. "I made extra sap to share with you."
"How nice, how nice," sang Bunny as he hopped a little circle dance. "How nice, how nice."
