This is another difference between Feelings and emotions. Feelings actually nourish and support you, while emotions consume your resources. This is probably another reason why happy people live longer and angry, sad, depressed people die sooner.
Emotions consume People and therefore turn People into consumers. This is why in the unrighteous – unholy way, emotions have to prevail upon the People and the land. It makes for good “economic growth”. When swimming in emotions, nothing is enough to satisfy the People because they are being constantly consumed by the very emotions they are experiencing. Thus arises the insatiable need for more and more that consumes everything in sight and leads to self destruction. More of this and more of that, yet nothing fits the bill that ends the hunger for more. This is by unrighteous-unholy design. Greed, lust, anger, fear.. all keep the economy going, the stock market up, ... and politicians re-elected.
On the other hand, happy People who live immersed in the Feelings that speak of their Divine Nature are lousy consumers. As a matter of fact, they are no consumers at all. They feel nourished and satisfied and are free of the insatiable hunger that drives others to consume everything in sight. Their needs are easily met in a simple way. They are satisfied with the simple things in life. Thus, if we lived in a “happy world” we would probably see very low economic growth or perhaps even economic stability, yet everyone would be satisfied and nourished.
As you can see, the current business and economic models are incompatible with Joy, Peace, Happiness, and thus Heaven on Earth. In the unrighteous-unholy model so called “sustainability” is achieved only in two ways: reducing the population upon Earth through disease, war, sickness, and infertility or keeping parts of the world in poverty to balance out the consumptive hunger of other parts of the world.
In the Father Way, balance is achieved simply by switching from emotions to Feelings. No one needs die, be sick, be infertile, or live in poverty. Instead, we toss out the unrighteous-unholy model of living and begin to seek the Father Kingdom manifested in our own lives. Feelings arise from within us. This ends the insatiable hunger and returns us to the Blessing upon Earth that we are.
As the lines in the song go “Be happy, don't worry. Be happy”.
