In exploring the word "sanctuary", I came to the following understanding.
Sanctuary is an open sacred and holy place that has been authorized to be inviolable. It is from this place that Father’s Support is received so as to successfully bring Right Action to fruition, Free from unrighteous - unholy stuff.
This is to say, that one’s safety is in the open and not in the hiding. Father has been explaining this to both of us for many years now and has been Guiding us back to the open space where His Presence Abides.
There are many ways in which we hide. We may hide our Light within, we may hide amongst the unrighteous - unholy, we may descend into tunnels or enter buildings, or perhaps hide under a bed or inside a closet. Yet in the end it is this hiding that allows the unrighteous - unholy to prevail upon us. Why? Because hiding is playing. Hiding tacitly implies that the unrighteous - unholy can hurt us.
Does this then mean we go out to the open and begin blowing whistles to let everyone know where we are? No. It simply means we conduct our daytime and nighttime activities in the open or in the “garden of our being” where the Sun shines and the Father is Present.
It takes some time to Trust our Safety is in the open, thus it may take some time for us to arrive at this open space. It may also take some time to feel secure enough in the open to not go into hiding at the slightest indication of an approaching storm. Therefore, we are prudent in our decisions and do keep ourselves away from harms way. Remember that even Jesus did not jump off the cliff just to prove his safety is in the Father. Yet at the same time, remember that Jesus was not troubled by the storm that was threatening to sink the boat he was in. He simply recognized the storm was not of the Father and affirmed the Truth.
That is to say don’t go out looking for trouble thinking your self invincible and don’t go into hiding when trouble shows up.
Also, do recognize that preparing and moving to a safe place is not equal to hiding. Instead, preparing and moving to a safe place is the physical manifestation of our choice to receive the sanctuary of our Greater Endeavor from which we can do that which is before us to do.
