Why do these products damage the environment once they are in the trash but not while they are being used?
Why is it that we “care” about what happens to trash disposal sites when these products are disposed in them, but not about what happens to us when they are marketed and sold to us?
Why is it illegal to dump some of these products in the trash but it is legal to use them and to manufacture them in the first place?
Why is it illegal for a company to dispose of poisonous products by dumping them upon the Earth, but it is legal for them to sell these very same products and thus allow others to do the disposing?
When a self employed person finds out that what he sell harms people, the person will stop selling the product or make changes. Why is it that corporations don’t follow this principle?
Why is it that when batteries were found to be a hazard to the environment and human health, companies didn’t change, and instead, continue to find new ways to create dependency on them (aka all wireless technology)?
Why is it that when plastic was found to be a hazard to the environment and human health companies didn’t change, and instead, continue to find new ways to create dependency on them?
Why is it that when it was found that power plants are a hazard to the environment and human health, companies didn’t change and begin to reduce the power consumption of their products?
How is it that a new product that consumes more energy than its predecessor is allowed to carry the “energy star” symbol for energy efficiency?
Many would say because of profits. But, could it be perhaps that this is just the “cover”?
As “health product” companies have shown you can make as much profit or even more, by selling healthy and environmentally conscious products. This would indicate that this is really not about the money.
Could it be that this idea of profiteering is just the excuse given to the People so as to hide the fact that these destructive companies are really an outlet of the unrighteous - unholy used to pilfer and destroy the People and the Earth?
From the same dictionary I have been using for the Spiritual Swimming series, “The New Century dictionary” by the D. Appleton-Century Company, I discovered the following:
Genius:
- The attending or controlling spirit of a place, institution, etc.
- Also, any demon or spirit, esp. a genie or jinni
It is very interesting that this aspect of the definition is given as a matter of fact. It does not say “believed to”, or “thought to”. It says “the attending or controlling spirit of a place, institution, etc”
So when you hear someone say that companies or institutions acquire a “life of their own”, now you know what is being said.
Perhaps this unrighteous - unholy presence explains why it was found that companies behave and act like psychopaths (read article Psychopathic Organizations ).
So why is it? Perhaps this is why it is.
