The easy way and the worldly way
The worldly way is characterized by the group Alcoholics Anonymous or by the church. In this kind of group you have to admit to your weak or sinful nature, you fight against the “needs of the flesh”, you depend on others for support, you constantly fight a battle against temptation, and many times fall back to old behavior, because after all, you are never cured or completely free – you are “human” which supposedly is an indication of being somehow defective.
The easy way, involves nutrition. When you are nourished, your body automatically ends the unrighteous - unholy behavior that is afflicting your life. An example of this is given in John Grey’s book, “The Mars & Venus Diet & Exercise Solution”. Starting on page 14, he recounts his visit to the clinic of Dr. William Hitt, in Mexico. In this recounting, he tells of seeing patients come in high on heroin and cocaine and leave free from addictive cravings in 9 days. Not months, not years, not a lifetime, but 9 days! Dr. Grey indicates in this book that many of these patients were able to feel happy for the first time in their lives. I would presume thus that these patients were not required to engage in guilt, self condemnation, or any fight against their “weak” flesh. Dr. Grey also recounts how receiving treatment at this clinic changed his life.
Which way do you think is closest to the Father Way?
