Today, while I was focusing on the smile as Father Instructed us, I realized that, as the energy of the smile - the energy of Peace, Joy, Love - begins to expand in the head, it brings laughter with it. This was the first time since I have started the smile that my brain was able to laugh / smile once again.
As I allowed the smile energy to move down my body with the awareness of feeling the laughter of my body, images of a very disturbing movie I had seen many years ago surfaced. As I contemplated in laughter with my focus on the smile it became apparent that traumatic, disturbing, or troubling events in our life take the laughter away from whichever part of the body they are stored in.
When we go through such an event, whether it is from watching a movie, reading a book, or from a "real" experience and we do not know how to handle the negative emotional load of the event in such a way as to dispose of it, this energy becomes lodged in our being. When that happens, the laughter ends and disturbance begins. Where there is no laughter, the unrighteous-unholy can take a foothold and disease can set in.
The smile as Father instructed is so Powerful because it restores the laughter of Life in us. When every single part of your being is smiling once again, you become Free. Free of that which troubles or disturbs you, you can Know yourSelf.
As you smile, remember to remain focused on the energy of the smile. When disturbance surfaces, remain focused on the energy of the smile, let go of the need to "address" the issue. Smile and in thanksgiving recognize the disturbance is being washed away. Feel the laughter return.
