Let’s now find out what it means to be in-human.
inhuman:
- not human
- not having the qualities natural to a human being
- esp. destitute of natural human feelings or sympathy for others
- unfeeling, brutal, or barbarously cruel
That is to say:
If being unfeeling, brutal, or barbarously cruel is to be destitute of natural human feelings… this then means that natural human feelings are of a good nature and are therefore benevolent. Otherwise, the definition of ‘inhuman’ would have said something in the likes of ‘characterized by the lower aspects of natural human feelings for others such as brutality or cruelty’.
Since the definition does not say this, it is clear then that what is natural to humanity is to be good natured or benevolent. Any behavior other than what is good natured and benevolent toward self and others is a behavior that is unnatural and therefore inhuman.
