The baby / child could be treated by parents as an equal. As Father would say, "mano a mano" or "hand to hand".
He / she would be allowed to make as many decisions as possible and parents would Respect such choices. If such choices were to lead to real danger, then parents could of course intervene gently and facilitate the child making different choices.
That is to say, rather than impose their ‘dogmas’ and ‘way of life’ upon
this newborn child, parents could be mindful and Respectful. In this, perhaps
they could allow themselves to learn a thing or two from this new
child…
Tiny ? Yes.
Seemingly clumsy and perhaps even helpless at first ? Yes.
Nevertheless a child of the Divine worthy of Respect and the freedom to find his / her own way with the Father from the very beginning.
