Have you noticed that within the confines of private property exists the
notion that every "domesticated" animal that is brought into the property
becomes property of the owner? You have? Have you ever questioned the morality
of this practice?
What gives us the right to domesticate / enslave animals? What gives us the
right to take away their freedom to roam free upon the land? What gives us the
right to buy and sell animals? What gives us the right to presume that every
single animal born on our property is automatically "ours" and that we have the
right to use / dispose / sell it willy-nilly?
What if a cow doesn’t want to become ground beef? What if a horse does not want
to be a draft horse? What if a puppy does not want to be sold to a particular
stranger? You say who cares? Why do you think it does not matter what animals
Desire? You say blasphemy? Who told you so? You say the bible says "god" gave
man dominion over all animals? Where did you get the idea that dominion equals
confinement / enslavement / forced labor / slaughter?
If it is accurate that "god" gave man dominion over all animals and that this
includes permission to confine / enslave, abuse, and slaughter, then I ask,
what kind of "god" is it that would institute such abuse to its creation? And
why is it that we follow such insanity?
