After a refreshing pause, let's continue upon the exploration of tyranny and its many manifestations. What will be uncovered through this is indeed amazing. I will take it one step at a time. Remember that all I'm doing is using dictionaries to define words and following my intuition as Guided by Father to creatively put it all together. This is a multidimensional process. That is to say, there are several levels of meaning that can be unveiled through this method. Which path one follows is indeed an individual creative expression.
Throughout this series, I will be underlining words that from my perspective have some "special" significance or that will be furthered explored.
As discovered before (refer to SP 3), a tyrant is someone who rules, influences, and exercises. For today, let's focus on what can be unveiled through the word "rule".
Rule:
- a principle or regulation governing conduct, action, procedure, arrangement
- formerly, a fixed area in the neighborhood of certain prisons, within which certain prisoners were allowed to live on giving security; the freedom of such an area
- control, government, dominion
- to control or direct, or exercise dominating power or influence over
Putting this together, I get that a tyrant rules by using dominating power or influence to control and direct the conduct and action of people. This is done through the creation of "principles" on an individual level (you are supposed to behave like this and do this, and do that... or you are "grounded / punished") and regulations and government on a city, state, national level (you are supposed to behave like this and do this, and do that.... or you go to jail / pay a fine)
What I find quite amusing is the second definition which describes a "fixed area" within which prisoners were able to enjoy freedoms obtained by paying an appropriate 'fee'. Think about this. Nations have a "fixed area" and if you pay the appropriate 'fees' you are indeed allowed certain freedoms such as traveling, working, and owning a house. States have a "fixed area" too. Cities have a "fixed area" too. Houses and land as we know it, have a "fixed area" too. A couple more examples? What about a business or a school? In all these places you are allowed certain freedoms as long as you pay or do certain things...
And the above just from the first word describing "tyranny"...
