Give us this day our daily bread ?

A few days ago, during one of my walks, I noticed some leftover hamburger bread on the road and LightHeartedly thought "this is probably not what is meant by the 'give us this day our daily bread' line in the "lord's prayer".

Right after uttering these words in my head I recognized that there is no thanksgiving in this sentence but rather rather an attitude of demand. Then it dawned on me, when I used to pray the "lord's prayer", as much as I liked that prayer, I was telling Father what I was supposed to ask. Give me this, forgive me that, lead me not there, and so on. There is no ThanksGiving attitude in this prayer. There is no recognition that Father Provides our needs even before we ask.

So I began thinking how I would change this prayer to express Thanks Giving for all that Father does and provides each and every day. I found this to be a most wonderful attitude changing experience.

How would you rewrite the "lord's prayer" to express Thanks Giving for all the Father does?
