Some time ago Linda and I had a conversation with a friend who runs a childcare home business. During this conversation, our friend shared an experience she had with the children. Turns out that one day she decided to make real mashed potatoes as a treat for them. She went through all the process of peeling the potatoes, boiling them, mashing them, and mixing them with milk, butter, and salt. She was sure the children were going to love it. Well, to her surprise and probably disappointment, when the children tasted these real mashed potatoes, they all came to the same conclusion: something was wrong because the potatoes didn't taste like usual. Needless to say, non of the children ate the potatoes and our friend had to go back to her kitchen and make instant mashed potatoes. Once the instant mashed potatoes made it to the table, all the children eagerly ate their share. Mashed potatoes now tasted as they should. Or did they?
It is the same with us and the unrighteous - unholy deception. We have grown so accustomed to the rush caused by sorrow, pain, anger, hatred, violence, lust, excitement, trouble, difficulties, famine, death, and so on that when we taste the Reality of a Life lived Harmoniously in the Abundance and Peace of the Father, many conclude that something is missing or isn't right. But is it?
So when the choice presents itself... what it is going to be? instant or Real?
