I talked yesterday about the hunger for money that was present in the farmer’s market at the creamery. On one side this hunger could be understood as arising from the need to pay bills and taxes, lest tyranny stops by to seize the land. A system that imposes payment of taxes / bribes to allow the People to live upon the land and accepts only a type of currency that is not freely available from Creation, but rather only through slabor, enslaves the People. Would the People selling at the market still be there if they did not have to pay bills and taxes to stay alive and keep their land?

I would say most likely not. Instead, there would be a whole different and natural system of trade in place. This system is perhaps best exemplified by home gardeners who grow their own food out of the delight and Joy that comes from doing so. In such cases, this activity is done for the Pleasure it brings and therefore, when done Properly yields such great Abundance that it exceeds the immediate and storage needs of the gardeners. What happens then with the extra Abundance? Many times, it is traded with other gardeners in the form of produce or seeds. Many times, it is freely given to neighbors, and other times, it is placed for sale primarily without a hunger for the money that will come out of it. That is to say, profiteering does not enter into the equation of such transactions, because it is not being done for the money.

Many say that the “love for money” corrupts People, but Father has given Linda and I sufficient understanding to recognize the deception in this. Underneath all the various deceptions there is a real need People have to receive resources to live. The problem arises when we look unto others to provide these resources rather than unto the Father. This problem is then compounded when that which is received does not satiate the need, but rather makes it worse.

The following example may help. Let’s say you go on a camping trip in the dessert and one day take a hike. You take sufficient water for your hike, but somewhere along the hike you get lost. As you wander around trying to find your way back, you run out of water and you begin to dehydrate. Eventually you run into someone and you ask that person for water. His response is, “yes I do, and I will share a gallon bottle with you if you do some work for me.” Of course, your alarm signals go off but you are too thirsty, you are lost, and you know you need the water. You think a gallon should be enough to quench your thirst and leave you enough to find your way back. So you do the work, during which you did not have any water, which means you have been dehydrating at a faster rate. At the end of your work, the man shows up and gives you an empty plastic gallon bottle. Of course, you cry foul. And the man says “I gave you what I said I would, if you want the water, then you are going to have to go to this other man and he will trade you your bottle for water.” So you go to this other man, ever more thirsty and he gladly takes your bottle and gives you one ounce of water in exchange. You cry foul, but the man says: “that is all you get for one plastic bottle. If you are so greedy for water, then go and get some more plastic bottles and I will give you more.” So once again you are in a bind, you still need the water and you are still lost. So you go back to the first man who gladly puts you to work for more empty plastic bottles.

Would it be accurate to say in this example that your need or “love” for plastic bottles is what is corrupting you? The answer should clearly be no. Underneath that need for bottles is your thirst which needs satiated to stay alive. What corrupts is the dehydration that causes the body to malfunction and the participation in a scheme that gets you even more dehydrated before it gives you water in such a small quantity that it is not sufficient to quench your thirst.

This is how money or any type of currency works, again whether paper or precious metal. Coinage will never quench your thirst and the more you have of it, the more “dehydrated” you have become to get it and thus the more of it you need. Can you see the vicious cycle of ever increasing deprivation / depravation?

The answer would of course be for you to walk away from such a system. After all, participating in their “game” is killing you. The problem is of course you need the water and you don’t know where or how to get it to stay alive until you can find your way back where you know there is Abundant water.

So what would be best? To stay in the system of bondage which gives you enough to keep you minimally alive and functioning as long as you are willing to work for them, or to just turn your back away to this system and take your chances knowing that at the most you may have two to three days to find your way or die?

Obviously most People who have lost their way and knowledge of how to receive their resources directly from Father think it is better to be enslaved and alive than dead and free.

Father has explained to us that death is certainly a deception too and thus another trap. So what does that leave us?

What it leaves us is a transition in which we learn step by step to re-awaken to the knowledge of how to get our resources directly from Father while we supplement as needed from “the system” until the day in which we are ready to fully stop our play.

In the example of the desert, you could go to the man with the water and see if you could work directly for him in exchange for water, bypassing thus the need for plastic bottles. Even better yet, you could one day recognize that even though it does not rain, water still comes from the skies in the form of morning dew. You could being collecting such dew and begin to reduce your need for plastic bottles and perhaps even reach a point where you realize you could sustain yourself just from the dew alone and therefore not die of dehydration if you were to leave the scheme. In Freedom then you could find your way back.
