Throughout the years, humankind has been taught that ‘words are cheap’ and thus have no meaning. People have learned to disregard the content and details of what is said and have become enthralled by the delivery and physical aspects of the deliverer. If the individual’s ‘looks’ are ‘acceptable ’ because he / she glitters and draws you in, and he or she uses all the ‘right’ words, then it does not matter how much deceit, lies, or darkness the message contains. The ‘red flags’ that are naturally raised in people’s minds when they hear such darkness are generally discarded, “for how could an individual with such ‘charisma’, who can say all the ‘right words’, be someone who would lie, deceive, or serve darkness?”

This requires the opposite to be True. If the individual’s physical appearance is not ‘acceptable’, and if he or she does not know how to use the ‘right’ words or deliver the ‘right’ message, then it does not matter how much Truth he or she may be telling. The listener disregards it all, “for how can such an individual say anything but a lie?” This perception is further strengthened by the ridicule such an individual will be subjected to by those of darkness .

This attitude is very unfortunate for humankind. In Truth, words do matter. We have said in “Life and the ‘game of circularity’” that power can only be taken away with the consent of both parties. Thus, it is a requisite that those who engage darkness inform who they serve by sharing their real intent – it is like a Divine Law they must follow. This they will do with a word, an intonation, a sentence, a concept, a suggestion, an action, sharing a choice they made, something they did. This they will do while saying all the right words with the hopes, of course, that this listening party will disregard that one word or sentence that contradicted everything that was said. When the listening party ignores this warning, it tacitly says, “I have listened to what you said, but I would rather deceive myself and allow you do what you really want to do”. In other words, the listening party disregards the Divine when he / she chooses to ignore the ‘red flag’ in his / her mind. In so doing, the listening party lets go of safety in the Divine, because permission is given to be attacked or engaged by darkness.

On an individual basis, one example may be a parent talking about how wonderful he is as a parent and then turning around and slapping his child. Or the boss who prides himself in his integrity, but then asks you to do something that goes against your values. Or a book that appears to be of the Light, but purposefully includes deceitful material. On a larger scale, it may look like a company that promotes its respect for the environment while purchasing raw material from another company that does not. Or an individual running for office who asserts he / she stands for freedom and says he / she is willing to take whatever means are necessary to stop those who oppose it. And so on.

This is why it is so important for each individual to learn to listen to what others say, convey, or do by example. By doing so, each individual can learn to quickly identify those of dark intent, so as to not give permission to be attacked or engaged by darkness in any way. “We do not share common interests, thank you.” “I am not interested”. “My beliefs / interests / choices do not support our friendship any longer.” “I cannot do that which goes against my True Nature”. “I cannot support someone that engages in such behavior, or holds such beliefs”.

In the eyes of darkness, ignorance does not absolve you from your choices. In their eyes, you cannot claim that you did not know, or you did not have access to the information, and so on. The reasoning behind this, is simple. Darkness knows you have an inner Guidance that can help you Know Divine Truth, and thus make Right and Proper choices. Thus, if you disregard this Guidance, darkness interprets this as meaning that you do not wish to Know and Live by Divine Truth and thus, that your choice is to engage darkness and abide by its rules and laws.

As you begin to make different choices, darkness will try to make you fulfill all the ‘agreements’ you made with it in the past. Know, however, that even by worldly laws, any ‘agreement’ that is made under deceitful conditions is void or ‘non’ from its inception. Because darkness is deceitful by nature, you are never obligated to live by the ‘mistakes of your past’.
